Tery Glunt, past President of FES State Chapter will present what is "Leadership in Engineering" on February 23, 2012 in the Marshall Student Center, room 2707!

The Florida Engineers in Construction (FECON) $1,000 scholarship deadline is February 15, 2012. An applicant must:

· Be currently enrolled or accepted into a Florida university engineering program.

If no qualified applications are received, FECON reserves the right not to award a scholarship. The selection of the scholarship recipient is made by the FECON Administrative Committee and is final.

Welcome back from the break! We are pleased to invite you all to the next FES meeting this Tuesday, January 17th at 6:00pm located at the Crowne Plaza Westshore. It will be a joint meeting with the FES Tampa Professional Chapter and your RSVP is required for attendance. At this meeting, John C. Burke, PE, and Chairman of the Florida Board of Professional Engineers will discuss the importance of being a Licensed Professional Engineer, enforcement activity, and some of the changes that are developing in the regulation of Engineering. Please dress in business casual attire. Registration for students will cost $10 and includes a delicious dinner.

This Thursday is FES's Resume Workshop, which will be held in the Marshall Student Center at 5:45pm! This is an opportunity to submit copies of your resume to professionals in the engineering field for critiquing and discussion. There will also be a presentation by Rachel Cantor, an engineering recruiter from RC & Associates, who will make suggestions for a winning resume. Attendance is highly encouraged! Welcome back student meeting on September 8th in the CUTR building! This building is West of ENB (Fishbowl) and East of the Beard parking garage. Room number is 102, you will enter the room from the north door we will have a piece of paper attached to the door and signs to guide you from the fish bowl.
